It seem like a touchscreen but I don't have any output from my montage? Anyone tried doing this / connecting one? maybe having the external screen also enables drag support? like for example I can drag a virtual slider up and down etc. like the Kronos

Hi, it's an hidden function of Montage for presentation an video tutorial recording, that 's what i use for Moessieurs video tutorials.
You need a converter from usb to device port to VGA or HDMI port.
Not all converters work, you need to find good one.
You need to shutdown montage, connect adaptor, start the montage.
It allow video recording thru an HDPVR gear or see Montage screen on non tactil screen or use a tactil screen.
Seems that some Dell tactil screen work but not all of them, i have two at home(not dell) who does not support tactil "exchange" with Montage.
When you use a tactil screen who work with Montage it shutdown the Montage Screen, you can only use the external tactil screen.

The converter is not too much expensive, less than 30 euro but Dell tactil screens are from 240 euro up to 350, so before to go on this way be sure that you really need to use it.

Tactil display allow you to have the same touch display than Montage on an external touch display, but in this way it "shutdown" the Montage display, you can use only the external display.
Only so expansive dell touch display allow this with Montage, one is Dell S2240T.
Due to the price, there is no interest for me, even when i made a presentation in music store, i just use a classic external display that show what i do on montage display (not shutdown in this case).

I have buy this adaptator on amazon, it work for me : ... UTF8&psc=1

One other is "Coredy MDA1920 USB 2.0 to VGA DVI HDMI ".

This two adaptor use this chipset "DisplayLink DL-165 GFX-Chipset." who work fine with Montage, be carefull i have tryed a startech adaptator who do not work because it do not thave this chipset.

Shutdown montage, connect the adaptator to "usb ro device" port (the same that for usb stick), power on Montage, connect your "classical" external display, you will see exactly the same screen than you see on Montage.

For dell touch screen compatible, do the same way + connect the usb port for touch control to "usb to host" port on Montage before to power "on" (you need an adaptor to connect the classical usb cable to Montage usb to host), montage display will stay shutdown, you can control all Montage functions by the external touch screen, as far as i remember they cost from 240 euros up to 350 euros, plus VGA adaptator plus usb adaptaor to connect touch screen control display from A to B type connexion, the total price can be from 300 euro up to 400 euro, too expensive for me for what it bring.

Here is a video with a review of gear to use :
